Taking a moment to remember last year...

At the coast with Jen Jen and Gen Gen... lol next day was the O & L fun day, which clashes with the jazz festival this year, but I am not one to say no to 'n lekker funday and an evening of jazz straight afterwards.
The night was awesome...
Oh the joys of the festive season.

the count down has officially begun...

Getting ready for a night out and strinking a pose.

Haing an ice cold, NO NOT BEER, Spiced Gold on our way to the caost for the fun day.

If this year is anything like last year then what I ought to be ding right now is getting some major rest and detoxing, because as soon as this month ends, I will have to increase my social budget from N$500 a month to at least N$2,000.00 a month...

Namibia: Countdown to the Windhoek Jazz Festival Begins
To the delight of Namibian jazz fans, the Windhoek Jazz Festival organisers announced on Friday that South Africans Lira and Salaelo Selota will be the main acts at this year's festival.

Battle of the bands winner, Shishani Vranckx, is the second headlining act to feature alongside Lira.
Selota's music style is influenced by the traditional singing and dancing of the gold mine's migrant workers amongst whom he lived, the Pedi melodies with which he grew up and the jazz he heard at Kippie's Jazz Club where he was a cleaner. The award winning artist studied jazz guitar at the FUBA Academy.
Lira was born Lerato Molapo in the Daveyton township in Johannesburg's East Rand. Her name translates to "love" in Sesotho and she speaks five languages. She is a multi-platinum selling and award winning Afro-Soul vocalist who refers to her music as "a fusion of soul, funk, elements of jazz and African."
Speaking at the launch, Windhoek Mayor, Elaine Trepper appealed for more support for artists and also expressed the city's commitment in ensuring that the Windhoek Jazz Festival grows each year. She further praised the event and predicted it's continued success. "The success of this event therefore is expected to continue surpassing all expectations as it continues to mature to an event of significant magnitude for its scale and positive contribution to the community as a whole."
The Namibian up-and-coming acts who were chosen by the public through an SMS competition are: Dinise, Chillin in the park as well as the Pulpit Band. Established acts who also had the honour of being selected by the public are Lize Ehlers, Adora, Major 7's who hail from Rehoboth as well the Ugly Creatures.
The festival will take place at the Hage Geingob Stadium on November 3. Tickets will be available at Computicket outlets as from July 30.

The ever popular and gorgeaous Miss Lira will be bracing us yet again for our annual Jazz festivl.

I would have to say I am her biggest fan...

Worried but calm...

Today marks the beginning of yet another week, and all i can say is that, the weekends seem to be so much shorter than what they used to be when I wasn't permenantly employed.
Come to work and I sit and wait for work to begin.
it is so annoying and yet I can only be greatful, that after 2years i am officially employed by NBL.
It has been such a long time coming.
So this is what my signature looks like.
My friends are like, ha a, Uda that is such an overkill, og why must you make so erg, but what they seem to forget is that for so long now I have been waiting to be permamently employed and now that I am, I would like to shout it from the roof tops.
Am even on the NBL telephone list...
Wow it's the little things I guess that make life worthwhile.
He added a plant as well

And this is what love looks like.

All smiles

And yes we are still inlove...

Like flowers aren't enough
oh well still Living, Loving and Laughing. Haven't been this happy in a while, yes there are still a lot of strain and issues that need to be sorted out, but for now, I am making the best of what I have with what I have.
till next time dolls, remember to always smile, and be happy, even if it is just for waking up in the morning.
xoxo
